The Post V

     Yesterday I was listening to some music and had the conclusion that today the things have changed in a very decadent way. I mean, it's not a matter of taste, you know? The nowadays songs are so bad that gives grief to see so many young people joining the fashion. You see the arrangements, the sound itself, everything. I'm not a musician but did not have to be one to see when something is bad. I am a person of 20 years who listens to songs that were success long before I was born!
The worst thing is that these guys think they play rock'n roll. D:

     I had this idea yesterday while listening to Black Dog (Led Zeppelin), Born to Be Wild (Steppen Wolf) and Light My Fire (The Doors). I <3 classic rock, the one with oldies with harley davidson and leather jacket xD

       Ontem eu tava ouvindo umas músicas e cheguei à conclusão de que hoje em dia as coisas mudaram demais de um jeito decadente. Digo, não chega a ser propriamente uma questão de gosto, sabe? As músicas atuais estão tão ruins que dá desgosto de ver tantos jovens aderindo à moda. Você vê os arranjos, o som por si só, tudo. Eu não sou músico mas não se precisa ser pra ver quando algo está ruim. Sou uma pessoa de 20 anos que ouve músicas que eram sucesso há muito antes de eu nascer!

  O pior de tudo é esses caras pensarem que tocam rock. D:


       Tive essa idéia ontem enquanto ouvia Black Dog (Led Zeppelin), Born to be Wild (Steppen Wolf) e Light My Fire (The Doors). Eu <3 rock clássico, daqueles de tiozão de harley davidson com jaqueta de couro xD

The Post IV

So ... This time I almost pulled my hair, but in the end I was happy. Every morning I gave a good day to same picture for five consecutive days!
All the lineart was made by Caio Monteiro, my work partner here at Ícone Studio (I want to draw like him one day! XD) and painting by me. I must admit that I didn't thought I would go through it again after the image of the casino,not to mention that it was a thousand times more complex. I mean, every time I was celebrating having finished painting a part, I looked around and saw that there were still one million things to finish. xD But well, here's the result. Enjoy!

Então... Dessa vez eu quase arranquei meus cabelos mas no final fiquei feliz. Todos os dias de manhã eu dava bom dia pro mesmo desenho por cinco dias consecutivos. Meu chefe pediu pra salvarmos os passos do desenho/pintura e bem, aqui vai.

Toda a lineart foi feita por Caio Monteiro, meu colega de trabalho aqui no Estúdio Ícone (ainda vou desenhar como ele um dia! xD) e a pintura, por mim. Devo admitir que não imaginei que fosse passar por isso denovo depois da imagem do cassino, isso porque essa ilustração foi mil vezes mais complexa. Digo, a cada vez que eu comemorava de ter terminado de pintar uma parte, eu olhava em volta e via que ainda faltavam um milhão. xD Mas bom, tá aí o resultado. Enjoy!

The Post III

Argh, enough of this painting. I did not like the colors and neither the composition. I would even let it
richer but I think not worth it.
Also, my paintings are inspired by the landscapes from SnowSkadi and Jouey, just to clarify. xD
I am leaving to the next one! See ya!

Argh, cansei dessa pintura. Não gostei das cores e nem da composição. Até poderia deixar ele mais rico mas acho que nem vale a pena.
Aliás, minhas pinturas de landscape são inspiradas na SnowSkadi e no Jouey, só pra deixar claro. xD
Vou partir pro próximo! Por hoje é só.

The Post II

So ... If there is anything good that is also very bad in an artist is that he never is satisfied. This is a great paradox that haunts me. I kept asking myself why it seemed so difficult to make a scene.That's when I realized that the scene was nothing more than an image, as a person or object. And from then on I began to see as something small, you know? I think that helped a lot in time to see a landscape and memory, see as a whole thing.
And these are some speedpaintings  I did with reference pictures (I love to get some thumbs in shutterstock and play high! It's great to train.If you want to try ... www.shutterstock.com. There are some great pictures!


The first one was made from my head (the very first test, that's why it sucks so hard!), the two pictures in the middle were photostudies with some changes I made. The last one was tottaly from head with no refs. All were made without dropper.

Então... Se existe alguma coisa de bom que também é muito ruim em um artista é o fato dele nunca se dar por satisfeito. Esse é um grande paradoxo que me persegue. Eu vivia me questionando porque me parecia ser tão difícil fazer um cenário. Foi quando me dei conta que o cenário nada mais era do que uma imagem, assim como uma pessoa ou um objeto. E daí em diante eu passei a ver como algo pequeno, sabe? Acho que facilitou muito na hora de visualizar um landscape e memorizar, ver como um todo, mesmo. E esses são uns speedpaintings que eu fiz com referência em fotos (adoro pegar alguns thumbs no shutterstock e reproduzir em alta! É ótimo pra treinar.Se quiser tentar... www.shutterstock.com. A primeira foi feita da cabeça e o primeiro teste que fiz (por isso que tá uma bosta!), as duas do meio foram com base em fotos com algumas alterações que eu fiz. A última foi 100% de cabeça, sem nenhuma referência. Todas foram feitas sem contagotas pra exercitar minha observação pra cores.
